Where We Call Home

Cedar Hills is a beautiful subdivision located in Bastrop County, Texas. We are a community of families that have moved here to be outside the hustle and bustle of city life and where they can let their kids play outside without worry. Neighbors you will meet here are of all ages and backgrounds; some have been in the neighborhood for over 40 years and some grew up in the neighborhood to then come and raise their own children here. This is a special neighborhood, and we are proud of the community we are creating as Elgin continues to change.

President’s Letter and bill for annual dues being sent out 2nd week of January!
- Deadline for payment is April 1.
  – $15/month late fee is added for every month after the deadline.

This platform is free. CHCA does not have to pay any fees or monthly subscriptions to use this. We can create as many forms as we’d like, so if we ever need electronic payments for anything, this will be a great option.

- All of Zeffy’s payment processing is managed by Stripe. Stripe is PCI Service Provider Level 1 certified which is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry. This ensures that all transactions are securely processed.

- All data, including personal information, is encrypted using SSL or TLS protocols, ensuring secure transmission over the Internet. Users can verify the validity of Zeffy’s SSL on the Website, Platform and Services.
- It offers Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for login security.
- I have personally used this for other organizations I serve, both as the account owner as well as the payer. Neither myself nor anyone who’s used this platform have had issues with personal information or bank linking and/or monies being transferred to our bank.

Elgin History

Elgin, Texas Established 1916

Elgin is a great place to live and has some very interesting and rich history. Our citizens are very proud of our community and hosts many community events, such as the Hogeye Festival each October, which boasts several days of fun for the whole family! Check out the Elgin community web site for a full list of events and schedules.

The name Hogeye was given to the stage stop at the Litton home where dances were held and, according to legend, the fiddler knew only one tune: “Hogeye”, which he played over and over as the crowd danced on the puncheon floor.
The City of Elgin owes its existence to a major flood of the Colorado River in 1869. and Elgin is known as the Sausage Capital of Texas and the Brick Capital of the Southwest.
